Dear Friends and colleagues, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to Singapore to attend the SGH ENT Fortnight 2017. This is an action packed, feature filled multi-week program of multiple ENT instructional courses that happens yearly in Singapore General Hospital. This year, we are glad to add some new courses to our whole repertoire of different courses available for you to participate in. This is in line with our overall aim of ensuring that our instructional courses remain relevant to the latest state of the art and yet featuring the perennial essential courses that sharpen our skillsets as ENT surgeons.

This year, we start by running an almost week-long program from 7-11 August 2017, focusing on Head and Neck Surgery. New to the program is our very first Transoral Robotic Surgery Workshop and first Skull Base Surgery workshop. These 2 new courses will bring valuable insight and exposure to the latest techniques in TORS and Endoscopic Skull Base Resections. We have assembled a highly esteemed group of international faculty to ensure that you receive these insights from the very best in the field. This then follows on with our longest running course, the 21st Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course from 12-14 August. With Professor PJ Wormald back by popular demand as our keynote overseas faculty, the FESS course promises to be a high impact and experiential course delivered by world class instructors.

The program then continues to another week-long program focusing on ear surgery. These include the 14th Otology and Neuro-Otology Course and the 2nd Endoscopic Ear Surgery course. We will also be conducting our very first Cochlear Implant Course, a hands on dissection course that discusses the most topical issues in Cochlear Implantation. Regional experts will be sharing their insights and techniques in an interactive program. The Fortnight then concludes with the 5th Sleep Surgery Course. Consistently one of our most popular courses, it promises to teach the latest surgical techniques in Sleep Apnea surgery with talks delivered by an extensive panel of regional and international speakers. All our instructional courses will be conducted in The Academia, a purpose built state of the art modern surgical skills learning facility that will make the quality of learning a highly engaging and comfortable one for you.

I look forward very much to welcoming you to Singapore and to the myriad of courses we are organising. More than that, I hope you will be able to enjoy Singapore itself, with its amazing melting pot of many colourful and different cultures and peoples. Do come and have a wonderful time with us!
