2nd Endoscopic Ear Surgery Course

21–22 August


Back by popular demand, the 2nd SGH Endoscopic Ear Surgery Course aims to introduce endoscopic ear surgery techniques to ENT specialists and Residents in training. This 2 day program will showcase the entire breadth of ear surgery procedures that can be performed via endoscopic approach with a focus on the benefits of endoscopic visualization and imparting the necessary knowledge for participants to embark on their endoscopic ear surgery journey. A mix of lectures with hands on dissection in state of the art laboratory facilities will ensure the best learning experience possible.

Course Objectives and Cadaveric Dissections:

Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to perform the following dissections under supervision: \

  • 1. Myringoplasty
  • 2. Ossiculoplasty
  • 3. Atticoantrostomies
  • 4. Tympanomastoidectomy

There will also be opportunities to attempt stapedotomies with stapes pistons and ossiculoplasties with Partial Ossicular Replacement Prostheses using the endoscopic approach. There will also be demonstrations on the use of the surgical endoscope on accessing the Internal Acoustic Canal via the middle ear.
